The Lab Technician must have 3-5 years of practical laboratory experience in a general lab environment.     Chemistry Lab Technician Long-term contract position (one year, starting July 1, 2011) Our client, located in Plainfield, Illinois has an immediate staffing need for a full-time Chemistry Lab Technician to work in Plainfield, Illinois to process samples in Chemistry. This will be a full-time position Monday-Friday from (8:00am-5:00pm) that will pay $15.00/hr. Key responsibilities will be to receive samples in Chemistry and log them into our laboratory information management system (LIMS). In addition they will track and dispose of samples and provide final reports to customers. Additional responsibilities are tracking and monitoring MSDS sheets, summarizing data, tracking equipment calibration and maintenance and other general lab duties as assigned. Description: Sensory Lab technician will be responsible for basic daily lab duties. These will include: labeling cups, preparing and pouring liquid samples, serving samples, recruiting panelists, and lab cleaning. Desired Skills: Basic lab skills – measuring, weighing, mixing liquid samples.
